CV Performance is an industry leading engine building and tuning workshop based in Sydney.

We have been upgrading Australian, Japanese and European performance cars for many years.

CV Performance was founded in 1984, and we have put the knowledge and experience we have gained over the past 25 years, into modifying and enhancing street cars and also race cars.

It came about from two brothers (Con and Vick) joining together and turning a great passion that started from young into a successful business.

Each bringing their own wealth of high performance knowledge and specialty.

There have been many challenges that we have taken on and won and still to date hold world records with those cars.

We stand back and reflect on those years back in the 80's with our 2 HQ one toners.

Back then the street ute ran 10's and the race ute ran 8's with a naturally aspirated big block chev in a very competitive super stock class.

We also had a nitrous small block chev powered Mazda RX3 running 8's and with its wild wheel stands it was a huge crowd favourite.

 

Then in the 90s we decided EFI is were we are going, so we built a very tough EFI 632ci nitrous race car.

On it's maiden test it became the first EFI car to break the 6 second barrier in Australia.

Years later we are astonished at how many laptops we have and use around the workshop constantly tuning cars & creating custom packages for all models & makes on the road.

The great thing is that the technology in high performance tuning is still evolving, and we have been at the forefront with our world record setting LS1 Ute running numerous 7 second passes at over 207mph

The great news for LS1 enthusiasts is that all the knowledge gained from the research and development of this car is being passed on into the street cars we build.

Ford customers receive the same level of commitment from CV as we always show at the strip with constant development and we offer the best advise available. We were also the first performance shop in the country to run a 10 sec pass in an XR6 Turbo way back in 2004. This is just another accomplishment we achieved with ease. Now there are multiple XR6 Turbos which we have modified that have run solid 10 sec passes down the 1/4 mile.
